Charing Cross Bridge

Reflections of the sunrise on the Thames
seen through the fog of early morning London
The Charing Cross Bridge stands dark
against the golden reflection on the water
Forests of buildings appear green
in the early morning haze
Forests of London
Parliament towering over them all
Boats cut through the water
and the sun breaks free
through ever-changing fog

Note on the Poem from Jen:  I love going to art galleries and letting myself get lost in paintings. Charing Cross Bridge, painted by Claude Monet, is one of the few impressionistic paintings I’ve fallen in love with. If you look at it long enough, I swear you can see the fog moving.
